Michael Current – Principal at Current Architects

Michael’s love of the Vail Valley has been over thirty years in the making.

After growing up visiting the mountains on family vacations, he moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder and Denver to receive his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture.  Before settling in the Vail Valley in 2004, he worked in multi-disciplinary architecture firms in San Francisco, Denver, and Washington D.C. where he gained experience in a wide range of industrial, commercial, and residential projects across the country and internationally.

After settling in Vail, Michael worked for KH Webb Architects for ten years prior to founding Current Architects.  He was the lead design and project architect for Mountain Living Magazine’s 2011 Home of the Year, currently sits on the Cordillera Valley Club Design Review Board, and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects.
